MWR Facility and Program Reopening Phases
Updates as of May 6, 2021
Welcome Back Everyone – We are in HPCON Bravo!
Great MWR news everyone. Here is our reset plan for Whiting Field MWR as we roll-out updated guidelines to enjoy our programs and facilities. Please continue to do everything possible to keep folks safe.
Effective Saturday, May 8 – Open to all MWR eligible patrons
Mon-Fri – 0430-2100
Sat, Sun & Hol – 0800-1600
Notes: Saunas and steam rooms remain closed. Family Fitness Zone and Racquetball Court are open. For more information please contact the Fitness Center at 623-7412.
Recreation Swim for all eligible patrons is scheduled to begin Saturday May 29.
Lap swimming for all MWR eligible patrons begins on Monday, May 10. Ten lanes are open through the weekdays until further notice.
Mon - 0600-0800, 1100-1300,1600-1800
Tuesday - 0600-0800, Closed, 1600-1800
Wednesday - 0600-0800, 1100-1300, 1600-1800
Thursday - 0600-0800, Closed,1600-1800
Friday- 0600-0800, 1100-1300, 1600-1800
Food and Beverage:
Open to all MWR eligible patrons at 50% seating capacity / Take-out highly encouraged
North Field Snack Bar: Mon-Fri – 0700-1300
South Field Snack Bar: Mon-Fri – 0600-1900
Tower Café: Mon-Fri – 0600-13:30
Effective Thursday, May 13 – Open to all MWR eligible patrons and hours will be Thursdays and Fridays from 1500-1800.
Open to all MWR eligible patrons and effective Monday, May 10, the Student Study Room will reopen for 24/7 use
Community Recreation Front Desk (Bldg. 1417):
Remains Open - Tickets are being sold, recreation equipment is available for checkout, driving range available. Call 665-6250 for more information.
Remains closed as we continue to recover from Hurricane Sally
Child Development Center: The Child Development Center is under additional guidance and is moving in an orderly and cautious manner for increasing services. The guidance for this provides up to 90 days to monitor changes and prevent flashbacks. At this time masks and the COVID screening procedures are still mandatory at the CDC. Please contact the CDC for more information.
