Navy Region Southeast 2026 Navy Birthday 5k, presented by GEICO Military. Lace up your sneakers and compete against runners from all 16 Navy Region Southeast installations in celebration of the 251st birthday of the United States Navy.
Whiting Field boasts an outdoor sports complex off Ticonderoga Street with two adjacent and lighted softball fields, two beach volleyball pits, two horseshoe pits, and a six-lane running track surrounding a well-groomed and lighted football field. Covered picnic areas are located on site. A Nature Trail is next to Clear Creek R.V. Park and features a 1.5 mile scenic loop hiking trail and a 9 hole Disc Golf Course. Sandhill Pine Bike and Hike Trail, approximately 10.4 miles long, is a wood chip packed surface course which circumnavigates Whiting Field’s North and South Field perimeter roads.
