The American Red Cross Junior Lifeguarding program is a foundational course for youth aged 11-14 that teaches water safety, rescue techniques, and swimming skills necessary for future lifeguard certification. Participants learn basic water rescue, CPR, first aid, and AED application, and gain realworld experience by shadowing lifeguards. Not only that, participants will have an opportunity to play water games, go kayaking, and have fun in the process. Successful completion prepares them for the prerequisites of the official American Red Cross Lifeguarding course.
What the program includes:
Water safety and rescue: Students learn basic water rescue skills and how to use a rescue tube.
First aid, CPR, and AED: The program includes hands-on training in first aid, CPR, and AED use.
